Job Summary
Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float)
Location: Falmouth MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
The Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN (Float) is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care across med-surg and telemetry units in an acute care setting. This role includes patient care cardiac monitoring and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams while floating between facilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac conditions
- Administer medications IV therapy and perform phlebotomy
- Respond to emergencies and support post-operative care
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with care teams
- Ensure compliance with patient safety and hospital standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience (Required)
- Strong IV therapy and phlebotomy experience (Required)
- Active Massachusetts RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Completion of IV Medication Module (Required)
- Basic Arrhythmia competency (Required)
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel RN experience
- Experience in telemetry and cardiac care
