JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at Penn State has an immediate part-time opening for a researcher working in the Astronomy Rocket Lab.
Job duties to include:
research assistance and consultation on diffraction gratings for ultraviolet and X-ray spectroscopy including electron-beam lithography at the Penn State Materials Research Institute and management support for research on silicon pore gratings
assist with graduate student mentoring
Requirements qualifications and/or competencies:
A Ph.D. in Physics Astrophysics or a related field plus a minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience is for this position
Schedule:
Expected hours will be approximately 8hours/week.
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $41.31/hour.
The selected candidate will report toDr. James Tutt and Dr. Fabien Grisé. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
