General Summary:
Experienced research position to perform sponsored research in reproductive science under the supervision of Dr. Monica M Laronda and the Fertility & Hormone Preservation & Restoration program lab. Research will include advancing human ovarian tissue culture to understand folliculogenesis and produce good quality eggs. Ideal candidate leads independent project(s) executes experiments compiles accurate records of data analyzes the data and writes manuscript for publication additionally will collaborate with other lab members in the performance and analysis of complex research studies as a team.
Essential Job Functions:
Area Specific Job Accountabilities
Maintains knowledge of relevant scientific literature and technical resources to provide consultative educational technical and informational services as needed to staff and faculty.
Communicates the results of the study work to the general scientific community through publications and/or meeting presentations.
Designs and develops independent project(s) within focus of the laboratory and research team. Conducts daily activities within the scope of the assigned sponsored projects develops and evaluates new procedures and protocols.
Collaborates with faculty members and other scientists in the performance and analysis of complex research studies.
Demonstrates initiative in solving problems and implementing laboratory procedures.
Maintains accurate research records and presents data in group settings.
Analyzes data drafts manuscripts and revises manuscript for publication. Provides data for PI to apply for grant(s).
Participates in the development of new procedures and protocols in the conduct of research studies.
Maintains research related materials to include study supplies and equipment data publications submitted grants and other scientific documents.
Communicates effectively and builds working relationship with supervisor and co-workers.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
PhD degree in relevant academic discipline is required.
A minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research experience in relevant academic discipline is required.
Ability to lead independent projects and also to work as a team member.
Prior multiple first-author publications in top tier journals.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Pay Range
$76960.00-$125840.00 SalaryAt Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
