Occupational Therapist Blue Care Toowoomba Allied Health Team

  • Employment Term: Permanent Full Time with Part Time Considered

  • Location: Based from Toowoomba or Warwick or Stanthorpe

Your part in our Blue Care team

Youll deliver personcentred functional and environmental assessments and interventions that empower clients to maintain independence and improve quality of life. Working in clients homes youll provide specialised equipment solutions and pressure care strategies. Youll also be responsible for:

  • Managing a wide variety of client presentations across multiple community aged care funding programs including Home Care Packages Commonwealth Home Support Program Transitional Care Program and Palliative Care.

  • Conducting inhome assessments and developing tailored treatment plans to help clients meet their goals. This includes simple and complex equipment prescription major and minor home modifications and client education.

  • Collaborating within a supportive statewide Occupational Therapy team of 70 OTs with decades of collective experience as well as working locally with a diverse multidisciplinary team of nurses care workers and support staff.

What Makes a Difference for Us

Youll be passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care that supports clients to improve and maintain their independence. Youll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications and current AHPRA registration

  • Previous experience in an Aged Care or Acute setting

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships

  • Effective timemanagement and sound clinical problemsolving abilities

  • A current Australian Drivers Licence and a roadworthy comprehensively insured vehicle

  • Confidence to meet all relevant probity and compliance requirements
