As one of Australia and New Zealands largest packaging companies Opal Specialty Packaging delivers tailored cardboard solutions for businesses of all sizes. We have an exciting opportunity at our Oakleigh site for a Dispatch Coordinator to join our team.

The key focus of this role will be to:

• Supervise and support team members and daily operations
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements
• Plan and coordinate dispatch to maximize fleet efficiency
• Maintain strong customer satisfaction and delivery performance
• Support safe compliant warehouse and inventory operations
• Drive OH&S standards and continuous improvement

Role Duties:

• Manage driver inductions COR training and load restraint compliance
• Coordinate dispatch including interstate deliveries and trailer loading
• Prioritize internal fleet and labour while minimizing external resources
• Ensure accurate delivery documentation and stock handling
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues stock discrepancies and complaints
• Monitor and report on dispatch KPIs (such as DIFOT)
• Communicate delivery updates and issues with customer service
• Maintain warehouse organisation stock identification and cleanliness
• Conduct stock takes and ensure inventory accuracy
• Lead safety audits toolbox talks and OH&S initiatives
• Provide administrative support and assist with supply chain projects

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

• A valid forklift licence (essential) and experience in dispatch warehouse or logistics operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Prism (would be highly regarded)
• Flexibility to support varying shifts and operational needs
