Job Summary:

The Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or franchise standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job duties for a Technician include but are not limited to:

• Perform all aspects of vehicle maintenance to include oil changes tire rotation battery replacement and wiper blade replacement tire repair mount and balance tires.
• Continue education in order to keep up with rapidly changing technology and with knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment alignment system diagnostic equipment AC equipment etc.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner following all company safety guidelines and policies.
• Act as a good will ambassador for the dealership by promoting professionalism and displaying excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Perform other duties as requested and assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

One or more years in a dealership service department as a technician is preferred. Good communication skills multi-tasking skills and computer skills a must. High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.

Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Extended working hours may be required. Weather conditions vary depending on the season. Technicians work indoors in the service department which is often noisy with some dust and fumes. Technician may be exposed to battery acid gasoline chemical cleaning material or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments some of which may be considered health hazards.

Wage: $17-$23/hr.
