ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop project takeoffs for weld count and materials.
Develop bid packages for the materials required to fabricate the project and work with outside vendors to price materials and services.
Coordination with QAQC Team to support our efforts and ensure drawing preparation.
Develop pipe drawings and weld maps to include heat number tracing and welds.
Coordination with Electrical structural and process engineering teams to ensure total package development
Design hydrostatic tests and supervise testing to include maintenance of test gauge calibration.
Maintain all required code paperwork for each project
Be open and able to travel to project sites to assist in the startup of fabricated equipment.
Prepare purchase orders to successful vendors.
Review project plan and schedule changes; recommend actions to ensure the project stays on time and on budget while meeting client specifications.
Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations safety rules and company and client policies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree.
3 years experience
Working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3 B31.4 B31.8 49 CFR 192 & 195) preferred but not required.
Pay range based on years of experience:
- 3-4 - $85k- $90K
- 5- 6 - $90K- $110K
SKILLS
Candidates and incumbents need to have the following skills.
Strong background in engineering design calculations and drawing development
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and work creatively in a team environment to resolve them.
Ability to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as the situation demands.
Must posses excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel PowerPoint AutoCad and Visio.
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including internal resources and clients.
Ability to read and interpret communication styles of team members and clients who come from both technical and non-technical disciplines.
Working knowledge of Electrical and Controls Systems in Natural Gas infrastructure

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Incumbents will constantly; utilize written and verbal communication skills including active listening and speaking and reach and grasp objects.
Incumbents will regularly; experience periods of prolonged sitting standing walking travel/drive a vehicle and lift objects up to 25 lbs.
Incumbents will occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as computers telephones fax machines and copiers. This position would also require at times the ability to operate fabrication equipment including the revolver pipe-cutting table and a forklift. Onsite training will be provided for both.
