About the Opportunity

Based in Fremantle the Planner plays a key role in turning high level project schedules into practical fully sequenced work packages that can be executed safely and efficiently on the ground. You will make sure supervisors and trades have everything they need including materials tools drawings access and information so they can complete work as planned and keep production moving efficiently.

This role requires strong organisation attention to detail and the ability to manage your time effectively while working in alignment with Austals values policies and operational needs. Youll also support the wider team by taking on additional tasks as required to help drive project success.

Whats Involved

  • Develop and maintain 2 to 6 week look ahead plans that align with the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Break down production scope into clear executable work packages for each trade and work area.
  • Sequence work to optimise trade flow access and productivity while reducing rework and congestion.
  • Plan work packages to the right level of detail so supervisors and trades can execute efficiently.

Youll Need

  • A trade qualification (e.g. Fabrication Welding Mechanical) or a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Engineering Project Management or Production Planning
  • Demonstrated experience developing detailed work packs aligned to construction or production sequences
  • Strong capability in breaking down scope into executable tasks including estimating hours sequencing work and allocating resources
  • Solid understanding of production constraints such as access scaffolding hot work confined spaces testing and inspections
  • Proficiency with planning tools and software ideally including Primavera P6
  • Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
