Tender Offload Manager (TV Hannah)

SUMMARY

Northline Seafoods is seeking an experienced and motivated Tender Offload Manager to support our team during the 2026 Bristol Bay salmon season primarily from mid-June through mid-August. Pre-season work in Bellingham Washington may also be required prior to the Alaska season. This role will have a strong focus on pumping salmon and managing the cargo deck to ensure efficient tender offloads and support overall production goals. As our company continues to grow we are looking for candidates who bring a true all-hands-on-deck mindset. This role is based aboard a stationary floating processing facility anchored near Dillingham Alaska.

Travel Requirement: As of May 7 2025 a REAL ID-compliant identification is required for domestic air travel including flights to Alaska. Candidates must meet this requirement prior to hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Manage the safe and efficient offloading of fish from tenders to achieve production goals.
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo to and from tender vessels.
• Work closely with the Freight & Net Manager to coordinate fisher supplies and gear between the barge and tenders.
• Maintain and manage proper stowage and lashing of all cargo on the barge.
• Safely and efficiently manage the offload team to operate cranes run fish pumps and move cargo.
• Oversee tying and untying of tender vessels.
• Provide maintenance repair and basic troubleshooting for fish pumping activities.
• Ensure deck gear and storage areas are clean organized and safe.
• Ensure the tender offload personnel operate efficiently and safely emphasizing a zero-accident mentality.
• Maintain accurate records particularly regarding fish offloads and services.
• Ensure the offload team receives tender paperwork and that office personnel receive paperwork in a timely manner.
• In coordination with the Deck Manager ensure the tender offload personnel are ready to receive tenders and offload fish.
• Complete all safety training and documentation as required by local state and federal regulations with emphasis on Coast Guard requirements.
• Support cross-department operations as a member of the Hannah and Northline team assisting other departments as needed (e.g. helping with fish in production during peak periods).
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Crane and forklift experience is required
• Must be able to:
  • Routinely work 12 hour shifts and occasionally 16 hour shifts during peak season
  • Perform duties on vessels or in plants with a minimum of 5 years of experience emphasizing boat tie-ups fish pumping and crane operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of fish pumps
• Knowledge of principles and methods for safely moving various types of cargo
• Familiarity with Bristol Bay operations and servicing a large fleet of tenders and fishing boats
• Knowledge of proper use of emergency equipment on the barge
• Ability to solve problems and make clear rational decisions in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team of up to 24
• Ability to complete duties with minimal supervision
• Positive all-hands-on-deck attitude

This job operates primarily aboard a stationary floating processing facility anchored near Dillingham AK. and at the dock in Bellingham WA. This role routinely uses equipment common in transferring and moving cargo including cranes lines slings spreader bars etc. Additionally this position will require advanced knowledge of fish pump setup and maintenance. Employees must be able to stand walk and generally navigate a wet and cold barge environment for long periods of time. Employees must be able to navigate tight spaces and climb multiple flights of stairs without assistance. Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Employees will be exposed to various weather conditions.
