Senior Claims Representative
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Claims Representative to join a growing this role you will be responsible for investigating evaluating negotiating and resolving property claims of moderate to high complexity and value. You will work independently within delegated reserve and settlement authority ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to industry standards.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $60000 - $80000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Investigate evaluate negotiate and resolve assigned property claims including residential and small commercial claims.
- Determine the facts of the loss coverage applicability and degree of exposure by unit of coverage.
- Review analyze and apply policy conditions provisions exclusions and endorsements.
- Establish timely and accurate property claim and expense reserves.
- Communicate professionally with customers agents and other stakeholders regarding all aspects of the claims process.
- Determine settlement amounts based on independent judgment contractor estimates appraisals and policy limits.
- Write denial letters Reservation of Rights and other complex correspondence.
- Identify claims with potential fraud subrogation opportunities or requiring field inspections and take appropriate action.
- Partner with legal counsel to develop litigation plans when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a customer-centric approach in all interactions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree preferred but not required. Equivalent business experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in adjusting residential property claims with some exposure to small commercial claims.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Customer service orientation with a strong sense of empathy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with ISO policies and the ability to read estimates in Xactimate.
- Experience with Guidewire operating systems is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Professional designations such as AIC are a plus.
Licenses and Certifications
- Adjusters license(s) (where applicable) required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Additional professional certifications specific to claims are a plus.
