Position Overview
Join a collaborative General Surgery team in a hospital-based setting
Provide comprehensive perioperative care in both clinic and inpatient environments
Work alongside surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
Participate in surgical service growth within a stable healthcare system

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations in outpatient surgical clinics
Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments
Manage inpatient surgical rounding and consultations
Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
Assist with discharge planning and patient education
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and ancillary services
Participate in call rotation and cross-coverage as part of the surgical team

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Board certified with eligibility for Alabama licensure
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience in surgical acute care or hospital-based practice preferred
Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
