C&S Contracting a division of CMES Inc. is seeking a Project Manager with 35 years of structures experience to support heavy civil construction projects. CMES Inc. founded in 1996 is a rapidly growing Georgia-based civil construction company specializing in heavy highway bridge and infrastructure construction throughout the Southeast.
This role will work closely with the Project Manager Superintendent and field teams supporting both estimating and project operations within the structures division.
This is a full-time on-site position located in the Atlanta Metro Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or manual methods
- Assist with estimate setup using HeavyBid software
- Prepare bid documents and obtain subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Assist with profiles cross sections and project drawings
- Coordinate with subcontractors vendors and suppliers
- Issue purchase orders and subcontracts
- Prepare RFIs submittals and change orders
- Verify completed work quantities
- Work with the Superintendent to resolve field issues
This role may require jobsite visits and coordination with field operations.
Qualifications
- 35 years of structures experience in heavy civil construction
- Experience with bridge and retaining wall construction
- Georgia DOT project experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Experience with Bluebeam AutoCAD or similar software preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
