Position Overview
The General Manager is the senior operational leader at the company responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business from day-to-day shop and field operations to team performance customer satisfaction and financial results. This is a hands-on role for a confident organized leader who thrives in a trade environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations including scheduling fabrication and installation
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time on budget and to our quality standards
- Manage and develop a team of technicians installers and office staff
- Oversee inventory purchasing and vendor relationships
- Develop and manage budgets; monitor job costing and P&L performance
- Support estimating sales and contract review
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors builders and commercial clients
- Enforce safety standards and maintain all required licenses and permit
Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience in glass construction or a skilled trade
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and projects
- Financial literacy: budgeting job costing and P&L management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the home service or construction industry strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/estimating software
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $75000.00 - $120000.00 per year
