Sustainability Officer

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Sustainability Officer to support the delivery of Councils environmental and sustainability initiatives while contributing to positive community this role you will lead community education and behaviour change programs contribute to environmental planning and strategy support sustainable waste services and provide technical advice to help embed Ecologically Sustainable Development principles across Council operations.

About You
You will bring:

• Qualifications in Environmental Science Environmental Health Waste Management or a related field
• Strong communication and Stakeholder Engagement skills
• The ability to translate Sustainability principles into practical outcomes

This role offers a permanent base of 7 hours per temporary hours (up to 21 hours per week until 16 June 2028) may be available and will be allocated based on business needs.

Remuneration

$48.01 - $55.21 per hour plus superannuation.
