Job Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Transportation Infrastructure to lead the successful delivery of transportation infrastructure projects across Bristol. You will hold full responsibility for programme cost quality and health & safety ensuring efficient delivery of highways and associated works while maintaining strong relationships with clients local authorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of delivering transportation infrastructure projects safely on programme and within budget
  • Lead and coordinate site teams including Site Managers Engineers Supervisors and Foremen
  • Oversee delivery of highways roads drainage and associated utility works
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients local authorities and key stakeholders
  • Chair progress meetings and provide clear accurate reporting to senior leadership
  • Plan and manage subcontractors labour plant and materials in line with programme requirements
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage variations valuations and overall cost control
  • Ensure full compliance with health safety environmental and quality standards particularly within live traffic environments
  • Monitor programme performance and proactively manage risks delays and logistical challenges
  • Drive efficient delivery in line with traffic management constraints and public interface requirements
  • Complete company IT systems induction and training within the first 13 months

Requirements

  • 278 Works Experience a MUST
  • CITB SMSTS (5-Day) or equivalent
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager within transportation infrastructure or highways projects
  • Strong knowledge of highways construction drainage utilities and traffic management
  • Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills
  • Experience managing projects in live or public-facing environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage costs effectively
  • Reliable proactive and solution-focused approach
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Degree HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience delivering transportation infrastructure or highways projects valued at 5m
  • NRSWA (Street Works) qualification
