Mobile Electronics Technician

DATTCO currently has an opening for a Mobile Electronics Technician. This position travels to our Northeast Connecticut and Rhode Island locations. Candidates can live anywhere in the Northeast CT or Rhode Island area.

• Compensation of $19.00-23.00/hour

Primary responsibilities:

• Travel to DATTCO locations to install/troubleshoot 12 volt and 24-volt electronics (cameras GPS tracking telematics 2-way radios) on DATTCO and/or customer vehicles
• Accurately record and report information regarding installs/repairs
• Responsible for ordering and controlling inventory levels

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Drivers license
• 1 year experience in automobile audio/video (12v/24v) installation and service
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of vehicle electronics concepts such as GPS relays and video systems
• School bus/coach bus experience preferred
• Availability to work weekends/overnights/overtime as required
• Technician will be required to supply their own tools for this position
• Must possess the physical strength and conditioning to safely perform all required tasks
• Must possess excellent computer skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be a self-starter
• English communication skills
