Sales Engineer Energy Solutions Illinois

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sales for C&I and utilityscale BESS projects.
• Develop scopes preliminary engineering and conceptual designs.
• Engage early with customers consultants utilities and EPCs to influence the basis of design using bid specifications utility requirements and project documentation to guide system architecture.
• Conduct site assessments feasibility reviews and DER introductions.
• Interpret RFPs bid specifications utility interconnection requirements and engineering drawings.
• Prepare proposals layouts singleline diagrams and technical narratives.
• Collaborate with development engineering project management and electrical sub-contractors.

Required Qualifications

• 37 years in technical sales within BESS UPS microgrids or power systems
• Ability to interpret RFPs bid specifications technical drawings and utility requirements
• Strong understanding of BESS components (PCS/inverters BMS/EMS safety systems balanceofplant)
• Familiarity with large criticalpower systems
• Excellent communication and customerfacing skills
• Must reside in Illinois; willingness to travel up to 70% within the state
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record to meet company insurability standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering business or related field.
• Experience in both turnkey development and equipmentonly strategies.
• Familiarity with solar PV EV charging and multiple DER systems.
• Working knowledge of UL 9540/9540A NFPA 855 NEC IEEE 1547.
• Ability to support basic financial modeling (IRR NPV LCOS).
