The Deposit Operations Analyst is responsible for day-to-day deposit operations processing controls and reconciliations for Nelnet Bank. This role is a key first line of defense and customer facing role. This role ensures accurate transaction processing strong internal controls and compliance with applicable banking regulations while partnering closely with finance compliance and servicing teams. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational integrity and delivering a reliable customer experience in a growing regulated banking environment. Nelnet Bank is an online industrial loan charter bank focused on education financing and regulated by the FDIC and Utah Department of Financial Institutions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process daily nightly and month-end activities in core and online banking systems.
Monitor transactions reports and system activity to ensure timely and accurate posting.
Work with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate deposit account processing.
Manage and process daily customer emails in a timely courteous and professional manner.
Process wire and ACH requests and balancing as assigned
Participate in creation and review of new accounts as applicable.
Maintain and update customer information as needed.
Keep customer needs and documentation organized and precise while using multiple processing and case management systems simultaneously.
Ensure privacy and security through proper customer verifications
Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal lines of business
Research and communicate effective solutions while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
Assist in project management of deposit related products
Create and maintain procedures as necessary.
Complete incoming task requests from internal departments.
Assist in daily reconciliation of specific deposit products.
Data entry using core banking software and other banking platforms.
Ensuring all operations adhere to banking regulations
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of experience with a financial institution online deposit platforms and service industry experience with strong knowledge of deposit products banking operations and back-office processes.
Deposit operations and back office understanding of Fiserv DNA platform helpful
Knowledge and understanding of deposit laws and regulations preferred
Must possess ability to engage others and to work collaboratively with all departments across the organization.

**Pay Range for this role - $55000 - $65000
