The Role

The Entrepreneurship Program Assistant will support the Side Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence in advancing entrepreneurship initiatives preparing for major upcoming events and strengthening internal operations during a key growth this role you will contribute to community awareness initiatives communications and administrative coordination that supports entrepreneurs partners and programs connected to the Side Centre. This position has an 8 week duration and is partially funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant; see full eligibility requirements below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and preparation for upcoming programs
  • Assist with event setup and representation at upcoming events.
  • Accompany Entrepreneur In Residence on community outreach.
  • Prepare and organize contacts for the upcomingCRM system setup.
  • Organize resources such as templates toolkits and guides for use in future programming and advisory services.
  • Draft and edit content for newsletters website updates and social media channels.
  • Assist with organizing digital files tracking project tasks and maintaining timelines.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This position provides hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship programming innovation ecosystems and event planning in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.



Requirements

The candidate will have the following skills and experience to be successful in this role:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research synthesize information and present findings clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable using the Microsoft Suite of products such as Word Excel Teams and SharePoint
  • Interest in entrepreneurship innovation or business development.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Professionalism and ability to handle information with discretion.
  • Experience with social media content creation or CRM systems is an asset
