Job Title: Pasteurizer Operator

Pay Rate: $21.50- $24/hr.

Shift: 2nd or 3rd (open to working both shifts)

Pasteurizer Operator

Summary

The Pasteurizer Operator / Milk Receiver is responsible for receiving fresh milk and ensuring proper quality temperature and antibiotic testing procedures are completed before processing. This role operates pasteurization equipment maintains sanitation standards and ensures compliance with food safety GMP and company policies. The position requires active dairy processing licenses including a California Pasteurizer License and Milk Receiver License.

• Valid California Pasteurizer License
• Valid Milk Receiver License

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive incoming fresh milk deliveries and verify documentation.
• Perform antibiotic testing on all received milk in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Check and record milk temperature upon receipt.
• Enter receiving testing and production data accurately into company systems.
• Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment to ensure proper processing of milk.
• Perform C.I.P. (Clean-In-Place) procedures on equipment to maintain sanitation standards.
• Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
• Comply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and sanitation protocols.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure food safety and quality compliance with ISO 22000:2005 standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Communicate any quality or safety issues to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications

• Valid CA Pasteurizer License and Milk Receiver License required.
• Experience in dairy processing milk receiving or pasteurization operations preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations GMPs and sanitation procedures.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a food production / dairy processing facility.
• Exposure to temperature changes machinery and sanitation chemicals may occur.
• Must follow all food safety PPE and sanitation requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
• Ability to work around processing equipment and production areas.
