Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up adjust and operate CNC lathes and milling machines for complex and high-precision parts.
- Run multiple machines simultaneously to maximize efficiency.
- Create prove out and edit machining programs using I.G.F Software.
- Interpret blueprints engineering drawings and specifications to meet exact tolerances and requirements.
- Perform complex setups including multi-station workholding and custom tooling.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools such as calipers micrometers gauges comparators and CMM.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards through SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machine reliability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering to resolve design issues and suggest improvements.
- Develop and optimize machining processes with limited documentation.
- Apply advanced machining techniques and shop mathematics including trigonometry.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and support team development.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and suggest productivity and cost-reduction improvements.
- Assist in coordinating workload priorities based on production demands.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Follow all company policies procedures and safety regulations.
- Continuously develop skills to handle new or unfamiliar assignments.
