Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a part-time Teacher - Physical Education/Health position that is available at New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home for the 2026-2027 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with appropriate endorsement to teach Health/Physical Education.
• Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Have effective written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
• Be dependable and punctual
• Have experience or have working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction collaboration and course

Salary: $35.22 - $56.86 per hour

FLSA Status: Exempt
