About the Role

This role plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic and pedestrians across the City of Parramatta LGA. Youll apply your technical expertise regulatory knowledge and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver highquality traffic and transport outcomes that support Councils strategic objectives and statutory obligations.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Deliver innovative and effective traffic solutions aligned with Council strategies legislation and community expectations.
  • Provide technical advice and prepare highquality reports for complex sensitive and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Represent Council in key forums including the Traffic Committee Planning Panels and the Land and Environment Court.
  • Prepare and peerreview correspondence including Transport Forum reports submitted to Council.
  • Process traffic and transport service requests and approve relevant permits.
  • Identify initiate and support traffic and transport projects in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Communicate technical modelling and legal information clearly to staff stakeholders and the community.
  • Integrate traffic and transport considerations with planning urban design environmental heritage social and economic objectives.
  • Prepare plans using AutoCAD and issue instructions for traffic signage and line marking.

If you are passionate about delivering practical evidencebased solutions building strong stakeholder relationships and integrating transport outcomes with broader city objectives this role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a diverse and growing community.

Were looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and translate technical information for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience delivering effective and innovative traffic and transport outcomes ideally within or in partnership with the public sector.


Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in traffic or civil engineering
  • Class C Drivers License


Whats on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $104610 to $11517 plus 12% superannuation.
