Supported Living Manager Shape a Brand-New Specialist Service
SDR Care is a growing family-owned provider expanding its specialist supported living services. We are recruiting an experienced Supported Living Manager to lead a brand-new bespoke service supporting a young individual with complex needs including autism a learning disability and episodes of dysregulated behaviour.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a service from the ground up establishing culture standards systems and a skilled staff team from day one.
As the Supported Living Manager you will create a safe structured and empowering environment ensuring consistently high-quality person-centred care. You will lead the team embed positive behavioural approaches and ensure strong safeguarding practice.
This role requires calm consistent therapeutic leadership in a high-support environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruit and induct a new supported living team
- Establish a safe structured person-centred service
- Provide strong leadership in Positive Behaviour Support approaches
- Support staff with de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) principles
- Oversee care quality documentation and service development
- Work on rota as required while maintaining managerial oversight
Who Were Looking For
- Strong experience in complex autism and learning disability services
- Background in high-support or behaviourally complex environments
- Proven leadership or management experience (Supported Living or similar)
- Deputy Managers with 3 years relevant experience will be considered
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and MCA
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Calm resilient and emotionally intelligent under pressure
- Experience where physical intervention may be required (desirable)
