The Lead Electrical Engineer works independentlyin a lead role or as part of a teamto investigatecomplaints fromon marketproductsor clinical studies.

This is an onsite opportunity based out of Alameda CA.

What Youll Work On

  • Utilizeexpertisein the areas of analog measurement electronics digital electronics embedded software firmware NFC Bluetooth andhigh volumemanufacturing to work with teams inside and outside of R&D performingfailure analysis investigations.
  • Lead and ensuretimelycompletion of investigations for both individual and team assignments
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers.
  • Develop and document robust methodologies for using product event data and logs todetermineroot cause of product failures.
  • Author comprehensive investigation documentation to supportapprovefor use or product improvements.
  • Synthesize electrical and software design documentation.
  • Utilize excellent communication and organization skills towork withcross functionalteamsand vendors.
  • Utilize good engineering sensibilities first principles knowledge of failure modes knowledgeof good labtechnique.
  • Utilize good deductive reasoning soundlogicand the ability to explain complicated ideas.
  • Communicate fluently with electrical mechanicaland embedded software designers as well as quality assurance clinical investigationsand upper management.
  • Communicate effectively andparticipateoncross functional development teams to direct multi-disciplinary teams toward solutions.
  • Work in conjunction with developers in creating investigation processes for new products and solutions foridentifiedfailure modes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Electrical / electronic engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in electrical / electronic engineering or related engineering field.
  • Experience withcomponentlevel product designand orfailure analysis.
  • Experiencewithmedical deviceor IVDdesign controlsperFDA or regulated industry
  • Experience with products produced at high volumes
  • Demonstrated technicalproficiency creativity and independent thought.
  • Knowledge of electricalcomponentfailure modes.
  • Ability to conduct thorough data analytics.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior team members.

PreferredQualifications

  • Experiencewithembedded electronicsanalog measurement circuitry op amps A/D mixed signal ASICsBLE Bluetooth NFC battery powered devices.
  • Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers source measurement units(SMU) power analyzers spectrumanalyzers.
  • PCBA level product design for low power measurement circuitry produced athighvolume.
  • ExperiencesupportingFDA audit responses.
  • Good understanding of processes used in the design documentation and verification of medical devices or IVD.

The base pay for this position is

$130700.00 $261300.00

In specific locations the pay range may vary from the range posted.
