Lead, Freight

Sandvik Mining & Rock the leading global supplier of equipment and tools service and technical solutions for the mining industry currently has 1 opening for Lead Freight on our 1st shift at 8:30AM.

As a Lead Freight you will be responsible for providing safe cost-effective global transportation services across all service modes. Management and continuous improvement of transportation providers to reduce costs and improve service.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Conduct monthly carrier performance analysis and review
• Assist in carrier sourcing selection and execution planning
• Develop and/or support cost savings initiatives in conjunction with logistics operations
• Liaison between carrier and operations for issue resolution
• Process creation and implementation
• Review of international documentation as needed
• Support full scope of carrier implementations for TMS
• Resolve global transportation issues with carriers and brokers
• Alignment with regional/global teams on improvement initiatives
• Freight invoice audit and invoice dispute management

Experience and Required Competencies

5 -7 years experience in a Global Supply Chain Environment with a strong focus on transportation.

EDUCATION LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

Educated to degree level or equivalent ideally in a business or supply chain discipline.

OTHER:

• English Proficiency: Advanced (CEFR C1/ Completed EF level 12)
• Ability to travel regionally if required
• KPIs: Freight cost management On-time delivery performance Customer services fill rates Delivery quality Customer Satisfaction Cost efficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Blue Yonder TMS/WMS and SAP preferred

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $75000-$90000 dependent on experience.
