Hours: MonFri UK business hours (09:0017:30 GMT/BST) on-call rotation included
Salary: $750$1150 USD/month

About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK marketplace for professional home services a UK-based employer to hire for this role. They connect homeowners with trusted tradespeople across the UK processing thousands of bookings daily and growing 40% year-on-year.
The role
Youll help build the reliability engineering practice that keeps the marketplace running at scale. Working with the senior SRE youll own monitoring incident response post-mortems and the reliability of core booking and payment flows.
What youll do
- Monitor service health using Prometheus Grafana and PagerDuty
- Respond to incidents and lead post-mortem processes
- Improve deployment pipelines and release reliability with GitHub Actions
- Define and track SLOs for core customer journeys
- Collaborate with developers on reliability-first design reviews
What youll need
- Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus Grafana or Datadog)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Linux administration and scripting in Bash or Python
- Understanding of distributed system failure modes
- Good written communication you can write a clear post-mortem
Nice to have
- Kubernetes cluster management experience
- SRE or DevOps certification
