Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehab Association is looking for a detailoriented Insurance Benefits Specialist to support our home care and hospice this role youll help ensure patients can begin care smoothly by verifying insurance benefits accurately and efficiently.
What Youll Do
- Verify insurance eligibility for new and existing patients
- Confirm copays deductibles visit limits and authorization requirements
- Update insurance information and process coverage changes
- Research alternative coverage options when needed
- Request initial and follow up authorization for specific programs
- Monitor and manage multiple work queues to ensure timely referral processing
- Collaborate with team members to meet timeliness and accuracy goals
What Were Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Insurance verification or healthcare billing experience preferred not required

Requirements:
- Ideal candidate should be very organized patient flexible and able to adapt well to changes.
- Previous home care authorization insurance verification and billing experience is helpful or 2-3 years in a health care environment.
- High School Diploma required.

Pay range: $18.50-$24.66
Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
