The team also equips EYs 400000 professionals to have insightful client conversations and drive growth. The teams compelling insights help EY win in the market by creating new client opportunities and originating work strengthen client relationships by proactively taking them new insights and shape EYs positioning and brand through distinctive leadership.

The opportunity

The banking and capital markets (BCM) sector is undergoing rapid transformation as technological innovation rising customer expectations and evolving risks reshape how banks operate and compete. Emerging technologies are enabling realtime risk insights hyperpersonalization and new business models. At the same time market volatility and regulatory pressures are accelerating the need for resilience simplification and a bold reinvention of product and services operating models and workforce capabilities.

As a Senior BCM Analyst at EY you will be an expert on key banking topics contributing to EYs distinctive perspective on client issues within the sector and the key areas of specialism (e.g. Investment banking corporate banking trade finance technology or sustainability).

You will lead a portfolio of programs focusing on the signature issues faced by banks aligned to your areas of expertise. You will deliver high-impact analysis and insights to position EY in the market and drive commercial value and support the wider insights landscape including analysis requirements for BCM executive leadership aligning insights priorities with the Global BCM board.

Recognized as a subject matter expert you will be sought after by senior partners to provide analytical support and strategic advice on banking developments to both EY leadership and clients in your areas of specialism.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop a strong internal brand to become recognized within EY as a leader and subject matter expert at the subsector and executive level.
• Engage with senior BCM leaders to provide commercial perspectives on the issues challenges and opportunities facing banks preparing insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.
• Participate in client meetings and represent the firm at selected events to enhance EYs presence in the market.
• Collaborate with domain stakeholders and EY colleagues across Insights and Clients and Industries to support business development activities and service delivery to clients.
• Working with the Lead Analyst to proactively support the development of the Insights strategy for BCM based on business priorities and a detailed understanding of sector dynamics.
• Lead the creation of specific insights by leveraging EYs proprietary knowledge and collaborating with Clients and Industries colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and share insights with other Insights and Clients and Industries teams.
• Synthesize diverse perspectives and sources to develop compelling insights that drive results.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to provide analytic insights.
• Coach less-experienced team members to improve their skills in research analysis data analytics and visualization.

Skills and attributes for success

• 8-12 years of professional experience in banking or in strategy business analysis industry research management consulting or business performance advising organizations in banking. Strong presentation skills with experience influencing senior clients and internal decision-makers.
