Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and community-minded intern to join our Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) team. This 10-week hybrid internship offers hands-on experience in public health programming health education and community engagement. The intern will support ongoing SRH initiatives while gaining exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration within a community health center setting. The intern will report to our Public Health Project Manager
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule (combination of remote and on-site work in Dorchester MA)
Collaborative mission-driven team environment
Learning Opportunities
Design and implement independent or team-based community engagement projects
Shadow healthcare providers and observe clinical and public health workflows
Attend trainings webinars and workshops related to public health and SRH
Gain practical experience in health communication program development and health equity work
Compensation
Intern will receive an hourly stipend.
The expected commitment is 10-12 hours per week for approximately three months with the possibility of an extension.

Requirements
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a public health-related field
Interest in public health sexual and reproductive health or health equity
Strong cross-cultural communication and organizational skills
Creativity and interest in social media education or youth engagement
Experience with Canva social media platforms or outreach is a plus (not required)
Key Responsibilities
Support planning and implementation of an SRH Open House/Community Fair
Create and manage social media content focused on sexual and reproductive health and community health topics
Develop educational and informational slides for display on DotHouse Health TV screens
Contribute to the Health Equity Training Committee in developing staff training focused on racial justice anti-bias and anti-discrimination practices the use of inclusive language and more.
Collaborate with youth to create zines for peer-based health education
Attend monthly SRH Committee meetings with providers nurses family planning counselors and administrative staff
Participate in weekly SRH team meetings with leadership and program staff
Salary Description
20.00 - 25.00 per Hour
