Job Description
The Coordinator Events is a part of the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) marketing and communications team and is responsible for creating managing and implementing small events independently and supporting large events such as ceremonies conferences fundraising events and others. Major responsibilities include responsibility for coordinating events event logistics and event volunteers and serving as a consultant to UNR Med departments coordinating their own events. The position maintains the identity and brand of UNR Med and the University through strategic events and programs that promote its mission of outstanding learning discovery and engagement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of detail orientation judgement and professionalism. The ability to anticipate needs adapt to changing event landscapes with flexibility and enthusiasm and manage an event from start to finish will be key to success in the role. This individual must collaborate well provide excellent customer service navigate multiple workflows and policy requirements and track event components accurately and within budget. An eye for composition event flow and design are desirable.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma and four years of related work experience OR
Associates Degree and three years of related work experience OR
Bachelors Degree and two years of related work experience OR
Masters Degree and one year of related work experience
Related Experience: event coordination or related field
Schedule: This position has a variable schedule in support of events that occur outside of standard business hours.
