Position Overview
The Journeyman Electrician will perform installation maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems on commercial job sites. This role requires the ability to work independently read and interpret drawings and lead portions of projects while coordinating with foremen and project managers.
Responsibilities
Install maintain and repair commercial electrical systems and components
Read and interpret blueprints specifications and electrical drawings
Bend and install conduit (EMT rigid PVC etc.)
Pull wire and terminate devices panels and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently
Ensure all work meets NEC local codes and company standards
Maintain a clean safe and organized job site
Communicate effectively with supervisors coworkers and other trades
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician license (Georgia or ability to obtain reciprocity)
Minimum 2-3years of commercial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check
Strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices
Experience with service work and troubleshooting
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
