Prep Cook

The Prep Cook will assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager in preparing food for all food outlets on the property and processing checkout for food orders. Cook will also perform other related tasks to food preparation and kitchen sanitation/cleanliness as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.

Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50

The Food Preparer is responsible the preparing various food products

Essential Duties:

• Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper foodpreparation

• Maintains quality control for all products including monitoring freshness of productdaily

• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand orcart

• Preparesappropriate equipmentfor cooking

• Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing measuring mixing washingpeeling cutting grinding stirring straining slicingassemblingand kneading of foodproducts

• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping labeling dating stockingstoringrotatingand checking temperature ofproducts

• Receives and inventories food and beverage product andsupplies

• Cleans and sanitizeswork stationandequipment

• Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by DepartmentManager

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands uses hands talks hears tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits climbs balances stoops kneels crouches or crawls. Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather) wet or humid conditions (non-weather) near toxic or causticchemicalsand inoutdoor ismoderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Safety and Sanitation Training

Job Knowledge Skill and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may berequiredin order toperform the duties of the job ( associates maybe requiredto communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are inEnglish).
