GENERALPURPOSE:

The Mix Operator will operate all mix plant processes in accordancewith mix operating manuals. The MixOperator will hold responsibility for pre-staging of raw materials both majorsand minors in accordance with the needs of weekly production and will performall mixing and packaging as required while maintaining quality and efficiencyof all production processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates Nauta and Ribbon mixersproficiently ensuring exact amounts of all ingredients are accurately added.

Performs and records all requiredquality control tests.

Accurately completes all productionreports.

Ensures an exact preparation of allraw materials used in the mixing process.

Produces I.P. mix based onproduction orders and packs as necessary in accordance with all packagingstandards.

Operates and maintains accurate andefficient performance on all mixing and packaging lines ensuring thatestablished standards are met.

Ensures that all bags and skids aresealed coded and numbered correctly immediately correcting any relatedproblems.

Ensures that all packed productsmeet quality standards and are stacked correctly.

Ensures that all sanitationstandards are maintained during mixing process and at the completion of eachshift.

Helps identify new ways to improvethe efficiency and safety of the overall Mix Plant operation.

Abides by all sanitary/hygienerules governing the Mix Plant processes.

Carries out all necessarysanitation and maintenance during the provided shut-down periods.

Is aware of critical control pointsas they relate to product liability.

Works responsibly throughoutscheduled shifts.

Responsible for compliance withCanada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safetystandards.

Follow all Good ManufacturingPractices (GMPs) while performing job duties and tasks.

Performs other tasks includingtraining as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of Grade 12 orequivalency.

Aptitude for computerized controlsystems.

Mechanical aptitude for diagnosingand solving problems.

Good working relationship with MixPlant team management and fellow employees.

Self-starter with the ability touse initiative and work as part of a team.

Licensed to operate forklifts andlift trucks.

Available for shift work asrequired.
