SCR Mining and Tunnelling L.P. is hiring for the role of Development Miner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Development Miner your duties include:

• Drill face rounds according to mine plans and grade lines.
• Assist with blast setup and follow blasting procedures.
• Install rock bolts cable bolts screen and mesh/screen.
• Scale loose rock to maintain safe working conditions.
• Install and maintain utilities such as air water ventilation dewatering and communication systems.
• Follow all established policies procedures and best practices as well as industry specific regulations.
• Always be physically and mentally fit for work.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report promptly.
• Comfortable and experienced with working at heights.
• Follow directives from shift supervisors.
• Loading pocket construction.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• Minimum Education: Common core completion as well as related MTCU modules
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a development miner.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Experience working in a camp setting (FI/FO)
• Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Compensation

The compensation range for the position is competitive and based on experience. Hourly base wages are $25.00 plus an hourly incentive bonus between $35.00 and $50.00
