Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect highperformance storage solutions for HPC workloads integrated into shipped KLA tools.
- Own storage design tradeoffs across performance reliability cost serviceability and lifecycle.
- Define storage requirements early in the product lifecycle and support NPI through production ramp.
- Develop and execute performance benchmarks aligned to real engineering workloads; analyze I/O patterns and tune storage stacks for throughput latency and reliability.
- Partner with product engineering HPC architects hardware teams and Corporate IT to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Support hardware qualification EOL transitions and requalification of storage components.
- Provide technical leadership mentor junior engineers and contribute to CSIG design standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of handson experience designing or supporting HPC storage systems.
- Strong experience with parallel and distributed storage architectures.
- Deep understanding of storage performance (latency bandwidth IOPS metadata).
- Experience delivering storage solutions for longlifecycle or productized environments.
- Ability to work across hardware software and infrastructure teams.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Highperformance and distributed storage systems.
- Parallel file systems (e.g. Lustre GPFS or equivalent).
- NVMebased storage highbandwidth interconnects RAID and dataprotection strategies.
- Linux systems performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- HPC networking concepts (highspeed fabrics; RDMA preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping storage solutions as part of commercial products.
- Familiarity with HPC clusters schedulers and compute/storage codesign.
- Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized environments with performancecritical storage.
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing or highreliability engineering environments.

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Masters Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
