Denver Health Foundation has been accelerating the work of Denver Health & Hospital Authority for more than 25 years by securing philanthropic support and investments. Given the aspiring agenda of Denver Health the Foundation is planning for the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the history of the organization. The Philanthropy Team will be essential to the success of the department initiatives.
The Advisor II Philanthropy plays a vital role in the success of the campaign by helping build and establish key individual relationships that translates into significant financial commitments to the organization. The Philanthropy Advisor works closely with Foundation Leadership and the Support Services teams to develop and implement philanthropic strategies. The primary objective of the Philanthropy Advisor is to engage prospective donors in the vision of Denver Health; to develop long-term relationships built on a firm understanding of donors interests passions and values; and to secure financial commitments as a result of these relationships. The Philanthropy Advisor is responsible for a portfolio of donors and prospects.
This is a productive professional gift officer position who will work through joint or collaborative work; as an individual contributor; and as a member of a project or work team. They set individual objectives in support of their individual team and department goals.
Essential Functions:
Acts as primary relationship manager for donors and prospects using Moves Management techniques. Typical donor models depending on the assigned portfolio would include Annual gifts of $1000 or more/year; Major gifts of $25000 or more/year; or Planned Gifts of $50000 or more/year to reach or exceed ambitious annual funding goals by creating integrating and implementing donor strategies and funding requests. (50%)
Manages Tracks and reports donor and prospect relationship management activity using constituent relationship management system including identification qualification cultivation briefing solicitation and stewardship. (20%)
Develops tests and integrates strategies and standard work practices for developing and new programs to support and enhance the fundraising and donor experience at the Foundation. (10%)
Coordinates with Support Services to develop and utilize donor materials including briefing memos proposals and stewardship materials in all formats including digital and print. (10%)
Participates in regular Philanthropy Team meetings Foundation Staff meetings and organization wide meetings; participates in individual or group donor or prospect meetings; and engages in Foundation-related events as appropriate and/or assigned. Most meetings and events are within normal business hours but not all and after-hour engagement is expected. (10%)
Education:
Bachelors Degree required

4 years of additional related experience required.
Work Experience:
1-3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising with portfolio management required.
