QC Officer (Head QC)

Job Description

QC Officer (QC Leader) MNC Up to 90000 THB/ month (total fixed package)

Location: Rayong

Languages: Thai native speaker with business English level skills

An established MNC firm is commissioning their plant in Rayong. This is one of the worlds leading providers in carbon black industry.

Youll be working according to international standard of operation and safety-first practice.

Collaborations: Thai and non-Thai colleagues

Work Pattern: 6 days a week during commissioning period and then 6 days every fortnight after commissioning

Plant Stage: Greenfield/ commissioning

Your background (required): Degree in Chemistry and 8 years in QC with Carbon Black testing knowledge and NABL Audit requirements

Your Role:

• Make sure the allocation of finished goods for dispatching and the water sample analysis (to improve Boiler efficiency) are timely
  
  
• Ensure that the test procedure is up to date according to ASTM International
  
  
• Document on Lab QMS as per NABL: maintaining a structured auditable system that ensures test results are accurate traceable and delivered to the production team within defined timelines to prevent production delays.
• Quality Monitoring:Oversee in-process quality checks and provide real-time updates to the Control Room and Warehouse.
  
  
• Equipment Compliance:Schedule and manage NABL-accredited calibrations and maintenance to ensure all deadlines are met.
  
  
• Inventory & Dispatch:Manage tested material availability and allocate stock per customer specs. Oversee timely loading and COA issuance to ensure on-time delivery.
  
  
• Performance & Improvement:Track work progress to ensure timely completion. Lead improvement projects and prepare MIS reports.
  
  
• Safety & ISO Compliance:Maintain OHS-ISO 45001:2018 and Hazard Communication standards. Enforce 100% PPE usage conduct safety training and perform task observations for critical jobs.
• Customer Relations & Procurement:Lead root cause analysis for quality complaints and conduct periodic inter-lab correlations with tyre customers.
  
  
• Resource Management:Manage critical spare parts inventory and chemical procurement in coordination with Purchasing to optimize stock levels.
  
  

Your Experience & Background:

• Education:. Chemistry.
• Experience:812 years in Quality Control specializing in Carbon Black testing and NABL audit protocols.
• Reporting:Collaborate with the QC Section Head to prepare and distribute laboratory reports.
• Problem Solving:Trained in 8D Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA).
• Auditing:Certified NABL Internal Auditor.
• Quality Standards:Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) and knowledge of IATF 16949 ISO 9001 ISO 17034 and ISO 14001.
• Technical Skills:Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel) and statistical analysis (7 QC Tools).
• Lab Management:Experienced in equipment maintenance MSA studies Inter-Laboratory Comparisons (ILC) and Proficiency Testing (PT).
• Stakeholder Management:Skilled in managing internal customer relationships.
