Job Overview


We are looking for an innovative and experienced Product Management Lead Specialist to lead a squad in our Assessments & Certifications portfolio. This role equates to an Expert Product Manager leading critical projects translating business requirements into functional solutions and mentoring colleagues.

This role will lead the development and delivery of new products and features of a range of English language assessments used in an institutional setting that provide placement progress measurement and certification to English learners from young learners to adults.

The role holder will drive strategic decisions that enhance the experience for test takers and our customers. They will ensure the products theyre responsible for are innovative effectively tailored to market need scalable aligned with global standards and regulatory requirements whilst effectively complementing our portfolio of digital and print learning resources.

The role requires close collaboration with UX and development teams working as a unit to scope prioritize and execute solutions that deliver measurable business impact and streamlined customer journeys. Whilst also working cross-functionally with teams in research test development marketing and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Institutional product management in a technical agile product delivery environment with knowledge of the education market and an agile can-do mindset balancing attention to detail on user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision roadmap and end-to-end development of new features and product increments for dedicated products or web applications ensuring alignment with strategic business outcomes.

  • Engage with our customers partners and internal stakeholders to understand needs validate opportunities and inform prioritisation.

  • Lead a crossfunctional squad to deliver the roadmap and iterate based on data and user feedback.

  • Lead agile ceremonies and quarterly planning to drive team alignment and delivery.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to overcome obstacles and optimize delivery.

  • Write and prioritize epics and user stories to ensure the development team is focused on high-impact work.

  • Document requirements and outcomes clearly to support cross-functional understanding.

  • Collaborate with our gotomarket teams to support customer acquisition market expansion and commercial strategy.

  • Mentor colleagues in technical and process domains

  • Storytelling: Present complex information in compelling narratives that engage and persuade stakeholders.

Ideal Attributes and Qualifications

  • 4 years experience in product management ideally with a focus on digital platforms and customer experience.

  • Experience mentoring peers and supporting skills acquisition.

  • Proven track record of leading feature development and delivering measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (UX development operations).

  • Strong analytical strategic and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working within agile development teams including writing and prioritising epics and user stories and leading planning activities.
