Reporting to the Heritage Sites Coordinator this position is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to: general carpentry general maintenance assistance on capital projects trail maintenance and construction general heritage sites maintenance and clean up supplies pick-up and delivery and transport to remote locations.

An Eligibility List may beestablishedfrom this competition the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time permanent part-time temporary full-time temporary part-time termor auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

EssentialQualifications:

• Experience with basic carpentry and construction bush cutting and clearing related tasks.

• Experience inusing hand and power tools.

• Experience driving various vehicles (trucks ATVs boats trailers tractors etc.).

• Ability tolift upto 80lbs.

• Ability to work in strenuous positions and for extended periods of time.

• Ability to follow instructions and read manuals.

• Ability to work and live in remote locations for extended periods of time.

• Knowledge of WCB processes.

• On-the-land and off-grid experience an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

• Criminal Record Check.

• Valid Class 5DriversLicense with clear Drivers Abstract.

• Standard First Aid certification orwillingto obtain.

• Ability to lift heavy objects.

• TH101 Cultural Awareness training.
