Job Summary
DIRECT HIRE POSITIONS
Job Summary: Folder Gluer Operator set up operate and maintain machinery that folds glues and finishes paperboard packaging to meet quality and production standards. Key duties include adjusting feeders glue systems and folding stations troubleshooting machine issues ensuring accurate high-speed production and maintaining a safe clean work area.
Essential Job Functions:
- Machine Setup (Make-Ready): Configure the folder-gluer for different types of die cut forms (2 and 3 panel) based on job specifications.
- Operations: Run machinery at capacity while minimizing waste of glue and sheet stock.
- Quality Control: Monitor production checking for proper folding glue application and affixing defects.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Complete production reports data logs and maintenance records.
- Safety: Adhere to safety sanitation and GMP standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience operating folder-gluer equipment (e.g. Signature Bobst etc ) is typically required.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor to medium repairs
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40-50 lbs.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of folding techniques adhesive application and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods bending reaching and lifting heavy boxes of product.
Working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to semi-high noise levels.
First shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (must be able to work overtime as needed including Saturdays)
Second shift: Monday - Friday 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (must be able to work overtime as needed including Saturdays)
Compensation: $25$33 per hour depending on experience (DOE).
Second shift offers 10% shift differential.
$10000 sign-on bonus (must be repaid if employment is voluntarily terminated within 12 months).
Relocation assistance available: $5000$10000 (same rule as above).
