**PERMANENT PLACEMENT**
PICU PA - 10/12HR D/N Variable
- Contract length: Permanent Placement
- Start Date: ASAP (Credentialing Timeframe: 90-day average)
- Guaranteed Hours: Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks Minimum of at least 6 shifts per 4-week block.
- Shift Requirements:
Variable days evenings nights & weekends as part of a 24/7/365 coverage model
Weekend Night and Holiday work is shared equally among all team members
Current shifts include:
10-hour evenings (1300-2300) Dallas Campus
12-hour Days/Nights (0) Dallas & Plano Campus
- Float: May float between Dallas and Plano campuses
- On Call/Call Back: In-house night call responsibilities are shared among all team members who have completed orientation to nights.
- Required Licenses and Certs:
PAs: TX PA License PAC-PA BLS PALS NRP (will review candidates without NRP but will need to obtain)
- Minimum Experience:
CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE IS A HARD STOP Willing to look at people with comparable skillsets as long as they also have critical care experience (ie; CICU CVICU NICU ER)
Acute Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Critical Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Experience with Arterial line placement Central Venous Line Placement Chest Tube Placement Endotracheal Intubation Lumbar Puncture PICC Placement

- Unit Information: Dallas campus PICU: 4-6 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to the team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to team.
Plano campus PICU: 6-8 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to the team.
Duties to Provide medical care for critically ill pediatric patients with a broad spectrum of single organ and multi-organ illness. Duties include the essential functions of the Advanced Practice Professional clinician provider consultant/mentor educator and researcher
Plano campus PICU: 6-8 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to the team.
