Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Perform advanced assembly and fitting of structural components including drilling and riveting operations
-
Interpret complex blueprints schematics and engineering instructions to fabricate and install aircraft components
-
Ensure all work complies with FAA internal quality standards and documentation requirements
-
Utilize specialized tools (e.g. riveting guns pneumatic drills reamers countersinks) and remove fasteners without damaging structures
-
Read and interpret work orders and technical documents to determine sequencing and specifications
-
Inspect completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
-
Mentor train and support team members; develop methods and shop aids to improve production efficiency
-
Maintain logs and records (e.g. MIR DMT CRAB PCO) and perform rework as required
-
Align and assemble components using jigs fixtures clamps and fasteners
-
Plan and organize workloads to meet schedule and performance goals; assist in overseeing projects and technicians
-
Support Lean initiatives 5S practices and maintain a clean safe work environment
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
6 years of related structural assembly experience
-
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
-
Q-Stamp certification preferred
-
Strong computer skills and familiarity with production systems
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
-
Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of specialized tools and measuring devices
-
Proficient in shop math including fractions and decimals
-
Ability to work any shift as required
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated areas (ladders stands stairs)
-
Must be able to read write speak and understand English
-
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
