Job Title: Travel Sterile Processing Technician Location: Hyannis MA Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp to Perm)

Shift: Evening Shift (03:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Schedule: 5x8 Hours 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination preparation sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in an acute care hospital setting ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination and cleaning of instruments and equipment
Assemble inspect and package surgical instrument sets
Operate sterilization equipment and document processes
Manage storage and distribution of sterile supplies
Maintain inventory and ensure equipment functionality
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Basic computer skills (Required)
Ability to read write and communicate in English
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Certifications & Requirements
Medical Terminology course or exam (Required)
One of the following:
Anatomy & Physiology course or exam
SPD Certification
3 years recent SPD experience
Ability to obtain SPD Technician Certification
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of Sterile Processing experience
SPD Technician Certification (HSPA/IAHCSMM preferred)
