We are currently seeking a highly skilled Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and code compliance.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the estimating process including:

Pre-Construction & Analysis: Perform comprehensive take-offs from construction drawings organize detailed documentation and precisely nest materials to optimize efficiency.
Estimating & Proposals: Develop competitive proposals and negotiate with clients to secure profitable agreements.
Technical Coordination: Collaborate with engineers and architects to define specifications and communicate pre-bid RFIs and submittals.
Project Support: Assist Project Managers in defining scopes of work and resource requirements (manpower equipment materials) while respecting budgetary limits.
Change Management: Identify changing project conditions and develop necessary change orders or RFIs to ensure project records remain current.
Vendor Management: Define trade-specific scopes obtain subcontractor pricing and negotiate vendor contracts.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated estimating experience within the steel fabrication industry.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of blue-print reading structural steel components and ADA codes.
Software Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Bluebeam including a deep understanding of complex estimating spreadsheets.
Professionalism: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead and collaborate within a team.
Organizational Skills: Superior time-management abilities and a track record of handling multiple complex projects at once.
Requirements

Clean driving record (no major at-fault accidents or significant violations).
Ability to pass a drug screening.
