Speech language pathologist (2026-27)

Overview

EMIT Learning is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work on our school campus in Anchorage AK for the coming school year 2026-27.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
• Location: Anchorage AK.
• Job Type: Full-Time Onsite
• Age Group: Elementary / Middle / High School
• Start Date: July or August
• End Date: June 2027 (with strong potential for renewal for the 2027 28 school year)
• Schedule: Monday Friday Standard School Hours
• Credential Required: SLP License

Duties

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech language voice and fluency disorders in students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student s needs.
• Provide direct therapy services for issues like articulation language delays stuttering and social communication challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers special educators and parents to support students in the classroom.
• Monitor and document student progress adjusting therapy goals as needed.
• Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when necessary.

Experience

• Conducted comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across elementary and middle school levels identifying communication disorders and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Developed and implemented IEP goals for students with articulation language delays fluency and social communication challenges.
• Delivered individualized and group therapy sessions improving students communication skills and classroom participation.
• Collaborated with teachers parents and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and ensure consistency across settings.
