About Cleanslate
As a social enterprise undertaken by Cara Collective. Cleanslate is a small but mighty cleaning machine differentiated by its fast and friendly service and its deep commitment to the community. We provide what some might consider an ordinary service (litter abatement landscaping snow removal & power washing) in an extraordinary way.
Junk removal is our newest service line that provides new residential and commercial junk removal facility decommissioning moving and donation pickup service designed to create transitional jobs for people affected by poverty. Launched under Cara Collectives Cleanslate brand this lean-startup venture pairs excellent service with our powerful social mission: transforming lives through employment.
About the Role
The Clean Out Services Crew Supervisor is a hands-on field-based leader responsible for leading a junk removal crew through daily service jobs while ensuring safety efficiency and high-quality customer experiences.
Working alongside crew members in the field the Supervisor provides real-time supervision coaching and quality control. This role serves as the on-site point person for assigned jobs and plays a key role in customer satisfaction crew development and consistent execution of Cleanslates service standards.
Qualifications

Requirements:
- 13 years of experience in junk removal moving construction logistics or similar hands-on field work
- Prior experience leading or supervising a small crew in a field-based environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Valid drivers license
- Comfortable driving a dump truck on city streets and highways
- Ability to provide on-site job estimates and confidently collect payment from customers
- Basic familiarity with safety protocols tools and equipment
The Responsibilities of the Clean Out Services Crew Supervisor:
Field Operations & Job Execution (65%)
- Lead daily junk removal donation pickup moving and clean-out jobs in residential and commercial settings
- Drive company trucks including dump trucks and transport crew tools and materials to job sites
- Perform hands-on work including lifting loading sorting and responsible disposal of materials
- Provide final on-site estimates based on approved pricing guidelines and job scope
- Receive payment from customers upon job completion using Cleanslates designated systems
- Ensure each job is completed safely efficiently damage-free and to Cleanslate standards
- Serve as the primary on-site customer contact during scheduled jobs
- Collect required job photos notes and documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure proper sorting of landfill recycling and donation items
Crew Leadership & Development (20%)
- Provide day-to-day supervision direction and support to assigned crew members
- Coach transitional workers on job expectations teamwork customer service and safe work practices
- Model professional behavior and strong work habits
- Address performance or safety issues in the moment and escalate concerns as needed
- Create a respectful motivating and accountable team environment
Safety Equipment & Vehicle Care (10%)
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and proper equipment use
- Conduct basic vehicle and equipment checks and report maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean organized truck and job setup
- Support damage prevention and incident reporting procedures
- Administrative Support & Coordination (5%)
- Assist with daily job reporting crew notes and time tracking
- Communicate job updates challenges and customer feedback to the Manager of Clean Out Services
- Support accurate documentation to improve service quality job tracking and continuous improvement

Direct Report(s)
The Crew Supervisor provides on-site supervision and mentorship to junk removal crew members during clean-out and removal jobs.

Work Schedule
This role is part-time with anticipated hours averaging under 25 per week based on current business needs. While the schedule may vary our long-term goal is for this position to evolve into a full-time role as the organization continues to grow.
Starting Pay Range
We take budget and starting salary very seriously. We market our roles and use a salary analysis tool called Payscale and offer competitive market-based compensation to all employees.
This position offers an expected starting pay of $22.50 per hour.

- 1 hour of Paid Leave for every 35 hours worked
