Job Summary

Job Title: .Net Developer

Duration (Contract): 5 6 Months

Client Location: Hanover VA 23069

Location Preference: Onsite

Job Description:
As a .Net Developer you will play a key role in migrating a legacy desktop application to a modern web based solution. You will work closely with senior developers to understand existing code take ownership of assigned modules and provide technical guidance to other team members while ensuring high quality scalable and maintainable application delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and understand existing desktop application code to support migration to a web based platform.
Design develop and enhance web applications technologies.
Take ownership of assigned modules and provide technical guidance to other developers.
Develop and maintain web applications and web services.
Collaborate with senior developers to align on architecture design standards and best practices.
Implement front end functionality using modern web technologies.
Work with relational databases and develop complex SQL queries to support application needs.
Participate in code reviews troubleshooting and ongoing application optimization.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

Expert experience development using Visual Studio.
Strong proficiency developing web applications web services and MVC solutions.
Extensive experience with C# Visual Basic and Framework.
Hands on experience with JavaScript jQuery HTML CSS and client side validation.
Experience working with WinForms and or WPF desktop applications.
Proficiency using source control systems such as TFS or Git.
Strong experience with relational databases and complex SQL query development; Oracle and PL/SQL experience preferred.
Experience with modern front end frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
