What Youll Do
Installs changes the layout moves and repairs machines and mechanical equipment usually of the heavy type including stand-by equipment conveyors freight and passenger elevators power drive equipment pumps supply and exhaust fans and other heavy mechanical machinery. Works from floor layouts drawings sketches or work orders. Operates laser alignment tools vibration analysis equipment and machine shop equipment.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Requires four years of applicable experience or equivalent combination in a plant or mill involving the laying out setting up and general maintenance of machines elevators mechanical equipment and related power transmitting systems usually of the heavy type.
- Ability to work from blue prints sketches manufacturers guides oral instructions and other data is necessary. Must be able to wear protective equipment including respirator. Must satisfactorily complete all training requirements.
- In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A: (i.e. High School diploma; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
Preferred Job Requirements
- Trade school or apprenticeship.

Notes
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
