Astrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented healthcare Payroll Administrator to manage bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple entities reporting to the Payroll Manager. You will ensure accurate payroll processing and maintain compliance with all tax reporting requirements. Working closely with HR Operations and cross-functional teams youll help drive efficient payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement. What Youll Do
- Manage all aspects of bi-weekly payroll processing for 2000 employees across multiple entities in the U.S.
- Maintain and update timekeeping systems; coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and accurate submission of time records.
- Oversee federal state and local tax reporting to ensure compliance with all regulations and filing requirements.
- Handle new payroll state registrations to ensure compliance when paying employees in new states.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Operations team to ensure accurate and complete payroll submissions maintaining high standards of payroll management.
- Review and audit payroll processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Provide payroll and compensation reporting to support ad hoc management analysis.
- Support accounting with payroll-related matters as needed.
- Assist with other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have 3 years of payroll experience; healthcare payroll experience preferred
- Bachelors degree required preferably in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work
- Solid understanding of payroll best practices tax requirements and how payroll transactions impact the general ledger and reporting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment

- Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. This position will report to our Alhambra CA office located at 1668 S. Garfield Ave.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $70000 - 80000 annually. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
